Newport has four friendly and well run pubs, each with its own distinct character and all within a couple of hundred yards of Tŷ Faenor! 

Two of the four have excellent reputations for food; the Royal Oak is renowned for the home made curries produced by its Sri Lankan owner and available to take away as well as eat in whilst the child friendly Golden Lion is best known for traditional Welsh dishes and pub grub.

The Royal Oak serves real ale and usually has a guest beer.  The Llwyngwair Arms offers live music from time to time.  All four have a pool table whilst the Castle Hotel has a dart board as well.
